Very nice 1877 Republica Mexicana 8 reales. Apparently deformed maybe due to heavy oxidation or fire but the original design and inscriptions are very vivid and intact. I never polish or put oil to my coins no matter how old they are just to make them appear shiny or lustrous when pictured. There is intriguing mark on this coin. In the obverse side there are 2 imprints on the libertad cap that resulted to appear like a skull.
